Nap Time..... I don't think so!!

I think naps are finally a thing of the past for Miss Ayla. Whenever I put her down for nap time, I pretty much know that she is not going to go to sleep, however, I do think it is important for her (and me!) to just relax in her room and have some quiet time at least. Usually she "trashes" her room when she is left alone for nap time. She gets all of her hats and bows out and scatters them everywhere, or she gets every book that she owns and scatters them as well. Honestly, I never know what I will find when I go to check on her at nap time! So with that being said, this is what I found a few days ago when checking in on her at nap time.

001
Yes people, she is sitting in her dresser drawer!

003

Is this not H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!! It was so funny that I HAD to run and get my camera when I saw this. You can tell by the look on her face in the first picture that she knew she was doing something that she probably should not be doing! I am telling you, I could not make up the things that my children do! I know I tell you all the time that there is never a dull moment, I am sure you are probably beginning to believe me by now..lol!

Anyway.... thanks for all of the input about the Chi flat iron, I found one on ebay for $70 (including shipping), it was new and in the box, so I figured that was a good deal. Everyone has said that it will last me for years, so that was my justification for buying one..lol!

Also, thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Wright, after I posted on here about John and I forgetting our Anniversary, these showed up at our door a couple of days later. Thank you so much, they are beautiful!

thanks for entering my giveaway. When your son is ready to go to college come see me! It's hard! My daughter cried leaving the house on that day, we all cried driving in the car (lol) and the memory I won't ever forgot is when she walked us to the car and she didn't get in with us and we left without her! I thought I just left her in a room with two girls I hardly know!!! All those years of knowing friends, their families, where she was at all time.....then not knowing anything!! COME SEE ME!!:>)))

We are thinking about converting Andrew's bed to a toddler bed now that he is 2 but I just know naptimes will become a chore and he'll be doing the same thing as Ayla. They are so funny though!

Good idea about getting a Chi on ebay. Ebay never even crosses my mind. I paid big bucks for my Chi and it was defective - had a short in it. I just saw that Target is selling Chi's too. Didn't realize that until Wednesday. Have a lovely weekend!

Too funny and cute! How awesome to get flowers from the granparents!!! So sweet. Also, the dressing for the recipe I shared is in a little packet on the dressing aisle of grocery store. YUMMY. Oh, I checked out your sis's blog, she's adorable too!

Hi, Lesli! Yes, I am on vacation still! Ha! :) We have internet in our room so we can easily email my parents who are watching the bambinos! I saw Kelly's link up and tried to think of a post that would work so I just used a link to that one, which I actually posted last month. :)

You will have to let me know how you like that flat iron. I have a cheapie one from Target for like $10, and I never use it because I don't think it works all that great.

The pictures in the dresser are too cute.

I will try and remember to check your sis's blog when I return. I am not wanting to spend tons of time online. Send me a reminder next week sometime, if you think of it!
Happy Friday to you!

I LOVE the look on her face in the first picture! She looks so guilty :) Those are hilarious!

We had to give up naps when Michele was about 2 and a half. She just would not stay in her room! Now, we just cuddle together and watch a movie or something, but boy do I miss naps....2 hours of freedom :) That is great that Ayla at least stays in her room!

I cannot believe the dresser drawer didn't break! I have Ikea dressers for my kids, and while they are cute pieces of furniture, they would never hold a kid in them. :) Very cute.

I love your blog and look forward to reading many posts! Nice to meet you!

That is too funny! My little one Jaxon did this too last month, but he broke his drawers. Luckily we had a spare dresser that match Ethan's bedroom suit or this would have been one mad momma!!!

Thank you for leaving me a comment on my blog yesterday. Your daughter is very silly! I too take pictures of every boquet my husband sends me.

Giving up naps...oh I despise it:) Pete is doing the same thing. Mommies need time away from babies and nap time provides that. With out naps, Momma can be really strung out by the time Daddy gets home.

She came to my house for a pottery party and we had it made.
