Our Weekend Project

Look what we are FINALLY working on this weekend!!! I have been searching for the perfect bedding to go with Ayla's new cottage bed that John is building. Remember this post, when John started building Ayla's bed. Well, he has not been able to work on it for a couple of months and so he just started working on it again recently. I wanted a Pottery Barn feel to the room but I could not afford the bedding that I really wanted from Pottery Barn so I found a very similiar set at Target last night. Here is the Pottery Barn bedding and kind of where I am going with Ayla's room.......

and here is what I found at Target

Okay, it doesn't look that great right now (in the packages, etc), but I just wanted to give you a little peek!!

Of course I can not wait until the room is together so I can show you some pictures!

This is the cottage bed now, we are painting it today and then John still has to put the shingles on the roof and the shutters on the windows!!

and this is what it is going to look like (hopefully)and where we got the inspiration!

We will do the painting a little different on Ayla's bed, but I just wanted to give you an idea of what it will look like!

Okay, so back to work!! I am sure John is wondering where I disappeared too!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Hi! I do purchase all of my books that I make, I do wait for discounts though. Right now the books that I make are $15.99 so I try to get them made and then purchase when there are better deals. I enjoy making them. Thanks for always being so sweet to me

oh I just love it!!!

Pottery Barn has inspired me in decorating for the kids in the past...as a matter of fact, I bought that same bedding for my daughter a couple of years ago :)

How pretty!! Lauren has that Pottery barn Kids bedding but my mom found it on an awesome sale. She also has that Target rug. I mixed and matched the 2 sets!
