Will You Pray For Haiti

haiti

It has been on my heart lately to write a post about Haiti. We watched the fundraising event on t.v Friday night and I can not stop thinking about what these people in Haiti are going through. I could barely hold back my tears as I sat and watched it with Ayla. I explained to Ayla what had happened and why the boys and girls had bandages on and told her that we needed to pray for them. She immediately went to her dad and said, "awe daddy look at the poor little girls and boys in Haiti", John was then on the verge of tears and suggested that we should adopt one of these Haitian children. I told him that it was nearly impossible for the people who have been trying to adopt for years to even get them NOW under these dire circumstances. It makes me so mad that the government makes it nearly impossible to adopt these children who do not even have food to eat.

If you notice on the side of my blog, thanks to my bloggy friend Stephanie, I have added a Red Cross donation button. If you wish to give a donation, just click on it and it will take you directly to the Red Cross website where you can give a donation. You can also use a cell phone to text the message HAITI to 90999 and a $10 donation will be made from the cell phone account to the Red Cross for earthquake emergency relief.

I know times are hard and everyone may not be able to donate at this time, but will you please do one thing for me? Will you please pray for the people of Haiti, that God will be with them and comfort a Nation of loss and mourning.?I wish I could do more, I feel so guilty that I have the skills to go over there and help these people medically, but there is just no way that I can. I would go in a heartbeat if I could! It will take a long time before I can lay in bed at night and not feel guilty that I HAVE a bed to lay in....I wish I could do more....feel free to grab the Red Cross button if you would like, just go to Stephanie's blog and the html code is on her side bar.

It's devastating. I heard if you text the donation then they don't get the money for 90 days, but if you give directly to the red cross then they get it immediately.

Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog! Here is the link to the credit card I use for all of my amazon rewards.

We put everything on it and pay it off at the end of the month. Then they send us amazon gift cards every month and we save them until we decide what we want. I love it! Good luck!

Love your blog! I really love your daughters bed. That is too cool! My son just got glasses too!

I am praying and acting on behalf of the people in Haiti. Our church just offered to be a bridge to open up a pathway to get funds to Haiti by taking up an offering and sending in a donation to Convoy of Hope each week for the next four weeks. They already have resources in place in Haiti and are helping so many of them right now. We are donating each week.

Hey, well my meeting at church didn't go as planned. The only Haitain children are ones with major medical needs that need full time assistant. We are not able to provide so we will continue to pray. Thanks for your prayers for my friend Sam.
